Strengthening self-esteem is the intention
Our intention should be to strengthen self-esteem. The same action has different impacts on self-esteem.
For example, a study revealed that girls who fall in love and have affairs in their pre-teens, their self-esteem takes a life-long destruction. But girls who are having affairs much later, their self-esteem actually goes up at that time. Because at that time they feel valued and wanted. Post break up their self-esteem remains untouched or improves.
This idea is the same, but the timing, the evolution of the person, everything matters.
Again for example, parents involvement at an age actually strengthens self-esteem, the same parents involvement at another age diminishes self-esteem.
This is a good metric to know how you should judge yourself and how you should act. That is something that you must learn to be conscious and sensitive about.
Self-esteem is central.
